Our purpose

Accessibility doesn’t only enable people with disabilities, it can be beneficial for many. Here at Microlink, we strive to make a difference. We support companies of any size and structure, and can enhance existing services or provide help to implement a new ‘reasonable adjustment’ process. One of our main aims is making people’s lives easier and closing the disability employment gap. You simply can’t put a price on accessibility. New Vacancy (Junior Purchasing Assistant)

Overview

As a Junior Purchasing Assistant you will have excellent attention to detail and will assist with the purchasing of stock to effectively process day to day needs of the business.  Do you have good communication skills?

We are seeking an individual with good problem solving abilities to investigate any purchasing related query that may be sent into the team and someone who will keep the relevant stakeholders updated.  Are you a person who can research the best price for the benefit of Microlink?  A good standard of education is required.

Can you:

  • Raise purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Proactively chase/expedite orders
  • Communicate progress with staff members.
  • Monitor inventory levels.
  • Liaise with stores.
  • Be organised with a high attention to detail.
  • Follow ISO 9001:1008 requirements in relation to procurement and stores.

What you can expect: 

  • A starting salary of between £21,000 to £24,000 (depending upon experience) with a salary review after successful probation (six months).
