Information and workshop about options, strategies and initiatives for disabled young people

Microlink is proud to be part of Disability Rights UK seminar and workshop: Into post-16 learning and work

 

This event about options, strategies and initiatives for disabled young people will be of interest to parents, careers and enterprise advisers and those supporting disabled young people into education, training and employment.

The event will include keynote contributions from the Career Development Institute, the Careers and Enterprise Company, Microlink PC, Evenbreak, Ansbury Guidance and other stakeholders.

The event will cover topics including:
• Disability as an asset
• Advantages of being an inclusive employer and recruiting disabled apprentices, trainees and supported interns
• Reasonable adjustments: What can colleges, universities and workplaces do to make learning training and working more inclusive?
• Resources about support available to disabled students, apprentices, trainees and supported interns
