CHILD FIRST EFFECTIVE PARTNERSHIP PRACTICE

Webinars by frontline professionals for frontline professionals

22 Feb 2022 12.30- 13.30 Webinar 1#: Working with Schools: Free Speech and Language Assessments for every primary and secondary child at risk of exclusion: Milton Keynes Youth Offending Service

Can your Local Area teams work together to divert a child from a life of crime when they are still in primary school?

Can your professionals tell bad behaviour from unidentified SEN?

How can your teams around the child shift from reactive to responsive to proactive?

What does effective partnership practice that drives diversion and prevention look like around the country?

How do you move from trauma-aware to trauma-informed practice?

You are warmly invited to attend a series of monthly lunchtime webinars, featuring initiatives and projects from Local Authority Area Partnerships around the country that secure better outcomes for children at risk of entering, or within, youth justice pathways.

The webinars are hosted by the Association of Youth Offending Team Managers and Microlink Education, who have gathered evidence of effective partnership practice from over 60 Youth Offending Services and their partner organisations who have been evaluated through the Youth Justice SEND Quality Assurance Process.

On 22 February 2023 12.30-13.30, we will hear from Milton Keynes, where Targeted Speech and Language Assessments for primary and secondary children at risk of exclusion (and follow-up training) are offered free to schools by Milton Keynes Youth Offending Service.

If you register, you will continue to have access to videos of all forthcoming webinars in the series.

This webinar series is produced for Youth Justice Professionals, Directors and Executive Leadership within Children’s Services, Team Leaders from Virtual Schools, Social Care, Health, Troubled Families and Early Help Teams, as well as a range of frontline professionals from education settings across the phases.
