Today marks an extremely proud moment for the dedicated work of the entire Microlink team and a hugely successful start to our 20th year celebrations, with the announcement of us winning the Best SME 2012, awarded by the prestigious Business Disability Forum (formerly the Employers Forum on Disability).

Our Vision of Universal Inclusivity has propelled us to enhance our pioneering services for individuals in the education and work environments. To empower people with or without disabilities to reach their full potential through Assistive Technology is our Mission, and we are honoured that our work has been recognised by the prestigious Business Disability Forum. – CEO Dr Nasser Siabi OBE

To add to that achievement, we are also very proud of the recognised efforts of our CEO Dr Nasser Siabi OBE towards ensuring our Vision, who has won the BDF’s Disability Champion 2012 award.

Universal Inclusivity is my personal and company Vision. To be awarded with the honour of Disability Champion by the BDF motivates me that with the support of the BDF and its members, together we can make a positive development to the lives of people with or without disabilities by breaking down barriers to access. – CEO Dr Nasser Siabi OBE

A quarter of Microlink staff are working with a recognised disability, and all members of staff are encouraged to be open about any disabilities they believe they may be working with. We are trying to smash the stigma that people with disabilities don’t study or work or as well as their counterparts without recognised disabilities. We work to empower individuals with simple solutions to achieve their true potential that can make a big difference to their lives.

The past year has seen us further develop on our business and social case for inclusivity in education and the workplace. This has lead to increased awareness and developments in various sectors both in the UK and South Africa.

With theses two prestigious awards, we are motivated to continue to develop our pioneering services and to make a positive development in our society.
